Frequently asked questions.

What will happen to my membership?

All memberships that were active in December were put on suspension when this current lockdown started in January. These memberships will all be automatically restarted when the centres reopen, hopefully in April.

You will be pleased to know that there is nothing for individual members to do.

When will direct debit membership payments resume?

Direct debit payments will recommence immediately in April, starting on 1st April for those that usually pay on the 1st of each month. Followed by 8th, 15th and 25th respectively.

In lieu of the fact that the centres are closed for 11 days of April, the payment made by all fitness members in April will be a partial payment proportionate to the remainder of the month.

We hope that you will agree this is a fair and considered approach for everyone involved, whether paying on 1st April and not able to use the centres until 12th or whether you made a full payment on 25th December and will therefore not get a full month’s usage before your next payment on 25th April.

I’m still owed a credit for my November membership payment will this be refunded?

Any credits previously applied for when the centres were operated by 1Life will be honoured against the next full direct debit payment in May.

Unfortunately, if you feel that you are owed for the November payment but did not apply for it when the centres were operated by 1Life then unfortunately we will be unable to credit for this payment now.

I have paid upfront for a whole year, what will happen to my membership?

All members who have paid upfront for the year will have the end date of their membership extended to credit them for the period of time that the centres were closed.

However, this is not an automatic process so if you are affected please contact the relevant centre when we reopen and we will make the necessary amendments.

When will group exercise classes be restarting?

At this stage, we believe that indoor group exercise classes will not be allowed initially upon reopening.

We are currently working towards restarting group exercise classes at our centres on May 17th, as outlined in the Government roadmap.

In the meantime please do make use of the FREE online classes available through fibodo if you are a fitness member. We currently have a weekly timetable of classes; including abs, circuit training and cardio. Over the coming weeks we will be adding additional classes to the timetable to increase the variety of our offering.  If you would like to register for these classes please follow the link in your fibodo email or contact: HFMGrantham@leisuresk.co.uk, and we will be happy to help.

When will swimming lessons restart?

Whilst we’re still awaiting final Government confirmation and updated guidance from Swim England we’re looking forward to restarting our Junior Swim School programme from Monday 12th April.

Will there be any changes to my child’s swimming lessons?

For children who were enrolled before the start of this lockdown there will be minimal changes to the lesson programme. You will have received a confirmation email over the Christmas period as we rebooked children.

Please register for the Homeportal service at https://leisuresk.leisurecloud.net/Homeportal/ where you’ll be able to check their lesson time and dates.

I’ve checked the Homeportal and my child’s assessment is not showing?

Unfortunately we were unable to transfer all of the records electronically when we moved from 1Life to LeisureSK, however, with so long out of the pool our teaching team will be looking to reassess all of the swimmers in the first few weeks back anyway.

We’ve also been busy updating the scheme to the latest guidance from Swim England which, following national guidance, now includes a greater emphasis on water safety as well as the key strokes and techniques. More information will be available soon.

My child last attended in March 2020 – will they still have a place?

If your child hasn’t been enrolled on swimming lessons since the first lockdown in early 2020, you’ll need to get in touch with the relevant centre. This is because we have made a number of adjustments to ensure we’re COVID compliant and lesson times and capacities have changed. Don’t worry their DD payments will still remain frozen until they’re re-enrolled.

How will swimming payments be restarted?

Direct debit payments will recommence immediately in April, starting on 1st April for those that usually pay on the 1st of each month. Followed by 8th, 15th and 25th respectively. In lieu of the fact that the centres are closed for 11 days of April, the payment made by all swim school parents in April will be a partial payment proportionate to the remainder of the month.

We hope that you will agree this is a fair and considered approach for everyone involved, whether paying on 1st April and not able to use the centres until 12th or whether you made a full payment on 25th December and will therefore not get a full month’s usage before your next payment on 25th April.

What will the leisure centre opening times be?

We have yet to confirm the opening times of the leisure centres but will do so shortly and this information will be published on our website at www.leisuresk.co.uk It is expected that the opening times will very closely match the opening times before Christmas. All centres will reopen immediately, we do not feel the need for a phased reopening this time around.

Will indoor sports hall bookings be available?

We are awaiting detailed guidance from the Government and Sport England but it is looking increasingly likely that sports hall bookings such as badminton will not be allowed to resume until May. We will clarify this as soon as possible.

When will bookings go live?

All of our activities will be bookable, including swimming and gym sessions. Therefore you will need to book in advance to guarantee a space. Bookings will go live approx. 7 days prior to reopening, on both our website and mobile app.

If you haven’t downloaded the mobile app yet, please do so by searching for LeisureSK on the App Store or Google Play. Please bear in mind, until bookings are switched back on the app will appear blank.

What are you doing for Covid safety?

All of the centres are registered as Covid-Secure, with all of the necessary measures in place from before lockdown. This includes bookable sessions with limited capacities, one-way systems, regular cleaning of equipment, hand sanitizers placed throughout the buildings, compulsory face coverings, etc…

Will I be able to pay with cash?

When the centres reopen, they will be doing so with a card payment only policy. We will be unable to accept any cash payments. This policy will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
