Frequently asked questions.

How do I make a booking?

All bookings must be made in advance. Bookings go 'live' 7 days prior to the activity taking place, on both our website and mobile app. Book early and avoid disappointment.

If you haven’t downloaded the mobile app yet, please do so by searching for LeisureSK on the App Store or Google Play.

What are you doing for Covid safety?

All of the centres are registered as Covid-Secure and we continue to provide deep cleaning across our centres.

Following the reinstruction of some COVID measures by the government. We will be following the government’s advice to remain cautious and protect our customers and team members.  In terms of our next steps, these are detailed below:

Face Coverings - Whilst face coverings will no longer be mandatory within our centres, we would encourage customers to continue wearing them in high use areas when not exercising. Our Perspex screens at reception will also remain.

Gym - The gym will remain bookable each hour online or on our mobile app. At most centres, we will be maintaining the current level of gym equipment to give adequate space for users to continue to exercise safely and because feedback from customers about the new layouts has been overwhelmingly positive. Should we start to see attendance increase and more demands placed on the current levels of equipment, we will of course add additional equipment to avoid excessive waiting times. We would still respectfully request that customers clean equipment before and after use. The numerous sanitiser stations will remain in place and fully stocked for this purpose.

Group Exercise Classes - At some centres, group exercise classes will be returning to studios where space is felt to be sufficient. At others we will be continuing to use larger areas such as sports halls. You may also find a hybrid approach initially, with some classes returning to studios whilst other larger classes are kept in the sports halls.

Swim School - The removal of social distancing and associated Swim England guidance allows us to open up additional swim school places. We currently have large waiting lists for swim school and will be looking to contact everyone on these lists over the coming weeks to enrol as many children into lessons as possible.

Public Swimming - All of our sessions will continue to be bookable in advance online or through our mobile app.

Changing Rooms - Changing rooms will be fully open and available. This will include the use of lockers and showers. We have also reopened saunas and these will be bookable in advance just like our other activities.

Will I be able to pay with cash?

All of our centres currently remain cashless and we are operating a card payment only policy. This policy will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

What age do you need to be to attend the gym?

As a minimum, children must be between 11 - 15 years of age and be accompanied in the gym at all times by their parent or a responsible adult over of 18 years of age. 1 adult may accompany and fully supervise no more than 2 children between 11 - 15 years of age.

What age can children swim unsupervised in public sessions?

As a minimum, children under 8 years of age must be accompanied in the water at all times by a parent or responsible adult over 18 years of age. One adult may accompany and fully supervise no more than two children under 8 years of age.  For wave sessions, all children under the age of 4 must be accompanied in the water at all times by a parent or responsible adult over 18 years on a one to one ratio.
